What is Frudism? |
|
Mariana Robinson was inspired to create Frude images after studying Picasso's "Still Life with Pitcher and Apples" (1919). |

| Picasso's painting was said by art critics of the day to be a little bit risqué because his apparent classic still life painting, represented a woman: The two apples on the plate being breasts and the pitcher showing the classic curves of a woman's waist. |

| Mariana has further developed this idea, coupled with her own wacky sense of humour in the titles, to produce a small collection of Frude paintings - or fruity nudes, thus inventing the words Frude and Frudism. |
